Wendy Lewis was a finalist in the English National Opera Mini Opera competition 2013. As a result, she teamed up with Berlin-based composer Yuval Halpern to write Cumulonimbus (2013), a choral piece for North Cambridge Family Opera, USA; and to devise an original piece of musical theater to appeal to adults and children alike. The result was the family musical What’s my Color?
Lewis’s play The Scammer was a finalist in the Silver Gull Playwriting Award in 2022. Her most recent stage production is the dark musical comedy Defeating Roger Federer (Book and Lyrics) which played at New Theater, Sydney, 2020 and the Sydney Fringe Festival in 2022. As well as nine stage plays, Lewis has also written 12 books ranging from biography to true crime. Lewis is based in Sydney, Australia and is a full member of the Australian Writers’ Guild (AWG), Australian Society of Authors (ASA), Writing NSW, Australian Crime Writers and Sisters in Crime.
